1.) Using Data Warehouse for Leverage-
This session will require administrators to have a log in and password for Level 1 data warehouse. Participants will mine, analyze, and make curriculum and instructional inferences based on performance, item analysis, trend, and comparison reports related to 3-8 and/or Regents assessments. Findings will be used to discuss revisions/adaptations to curriculum assessment and instruction.
2.) Data Analysis with Excel
This session will cover tools and techniques every administrator should know for analyzing data with Microsoft Excel. Examples using data warehouse reports, growth score data and state report card data will be used to illustrate formatting, calculations, charts and more. A slightly different version from the summer session.

3.) Implementing a Diagnostic Tool (offered in the pm session only)
This session will offer an overview of tools that can be used to gauge the effectiveness of district and building level practices that support high quality leadership, teaching, and learning. Using NYSED’s Tenets of District Effectiveness helps leaders identify areas of strengths and weakness. These six tenets reflect core concepts of an effective school or district and are aligned to the federal guidelines for school turnaround.
